Puppy Preschool, ages 3-5 months

Tuesdays for 6 weeks, Starting January 29 2019   6:30 – 7:30 pm Location TBD

Help your new “Best Friend” develop the good habits it needs in order to become a valued member of your family. Socialization, introduction to obedience, and problem solving are covered in the classes. AKC STAR Puppy Certification is offered. Minors are invited to attend with a registered adult. A list of supplies you will need to bring will be given at time of registration, along with a health certificate that must be completed before the first class. Cost is $50 resident/ $60 non-resident. Dog Obedience Classes, age 6 months and up

Wednesdays for 7 weeks, Starting January 23rd 2019, 6:30 pm Location TBD

Learn to train your dog to heel (walk) on lead next to you, sit and down stay, come when called, stand and to become a more enjoyable member of the family! This is a fast-moving class to teach you to teach your dog basic obedience. You must work with your dog 10-20 minutes a day for best results. Minors over 12 invited to train along with a registered adult. Please bring to first class: Dog, Health Certificate, Shot Records, treat bag with small soft treats, and a well-fitting slip collar with a 6 ft. leash. Cost is $65 resident/$75 non-resident. Presented by Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club.

Intermediate Obedience – Canine Good Citizen

Wednesdays for 6 weeks, Starting January 23rd, 7:30 pm  Location TBD

This fast-paced class is designed to help handlers and dogs master the skills necessary to earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen Award. The class is open to all dogs. It is required that the dogs have previous exposure to classroom obedience training or have completed Intro to Dog Obedience (offered by SMOTC) prior to enrolling.

Vaccination records are required and must be presented the first night of class.

Students may participate in the CGC evaluation on the last night of class. Only those that successfully meet the evaluation criteria will receive the distinctive Canine Good Citizen CGC Award from American Kennel Club.  You must work with your dog 10-20 minutes a day for best results. Co-Ed Dodgeball League

Thursday evenings beginning February 28th, Location TBD

High School League– Games start at 5 pm

18+ League - Games start at 7 pm

This sport is perfect for staying active during the winter and having fun! The season consists of 6 regular season games and single elimination playoffs. Games are 5v5 and will have a 4-minute time limit, each match will be best of 9 games.  League is limited to 8 teams. Participants will register individually but will play on the team they choose. Maximum of 15 players per team, minimum of 7.  Cost is $35 resident, $45 non-resident and includes a custom shirt for your team. Registration ends January 25th 2019
