Every Wednesday at 12:45 pm
Join the Wii video game craze! This game is great to help improve hand-eye coordination and movement, and can be done while seated. This drop-in program is lots of fun! Drop in fee applies.

Mexican Train
Wednesdays at 11 am. This twist on the classic Domino game is great fun! Everyone is invited to play in this drop-in program. Don’t know how to play? No worries! We’ll teach you this fun game!

Bingo
Every Thursday at 9:30 am
Come and try your luck at BINGO! Cost is $2 for 3 cards. Drop in fee applies.

Golden Volunteer Force
This new group will get together to send out cards to members who need a pick-me-up, assist with preparations for senior and city wide events, come up with fun fundraisers and brainstorm ways to make OUR senior center better and more inviting! Refreshments will be served as a thank you to our volunteers! Call to sign up to be put on the contact list for this great group!

18 + Euchre Tournament

First Friday of the Month. Sign in at 6 pm, Game at 6:30 pm
Come in and use your skills at the Euchre Tournament! Cost is $10 per person. Two 50/50 raffles available, water and coffee are provided.


Health and Wellness

Seniors 55+ Pickleball
Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 10 am
This fun program is co-ed drop-in and seniors from every community are welcome to play at the Activity Center. Don’t know how to play? Call the Center to set up a lesson! Drop-in fee: $1 members, $2 non-members.

Low Impact Aerobic Exercise Class

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am
Meet up with friends and exercise along with the Richard Simmons Silver Foxes videotape. This class features a low impact, aerobic workout for the beginner or intermediate exerciser. Each session is designed to increase flexibility, stamina and balance. Drop in fee applies.

Chair Tai Chi
Mondays at 10am
This is a great way to start your week. Chair Tai Chi is basic Tai Chi exercises to rejuvenate, heal, energize and de-stress; for beginners, seniors, and those with arthritis, joint pain, back pain and more. This video-lead class is offered every Monday. Drop in fee applies.

Beginners Tai Chi with Instructor John Marchowitz
Mondays at 1pm 
Find your zen with this beginning Tai Chi Class with an option to use chair. Tai Chi exercises help to rejuvenate, heal, energize and de-stress; and help those with arthritis, joint pain, back pain and more. Call the center to find the next start date for this class. Cost for 5 week session is $26 for members, $32 for non-members. 

Chair Yoga
Tuesdays at 11 am
Chair yoga focuses on increasing movement and using a chair assures that people of all abilities are able to participate. Call (586) 296-8483 for more information and the next upcoming session start date.  Cost for 6 sessions is $26 members, $32 non-members.

Matter of  Balance
Tuesday, August 21st from 1pm to 3pm
This is a weekly program and runs till October 9th
Do you have concerns about falling? Join this class presented by the Macomb Area Agency on Aging to learn informational tips, group exercises to increase strength, flexibility and endurance while sharing solutions & positive thinking.  A Matter of Balance is an evidence based program for seniors who want to learn more about preventing falls. Cost is $8.00 for 8 sessions. Register by August 14th.

First Monday of the Month from 9:30am – 3pm
Cost is $18 for Members, $20 for Non-members for 
transportation and includes $15 in bonus play & $5 in food vouchers! Register at the 
Fraser Activity Center.

Restaurant Rovers
Last Tuesday of the Month, Bus Departs at 11 am
Every month features a new restaurant. Cost varies depending on location we are traveling to. Cost is for transportation; cost of lunch is on your own. Menus will be available at the Center upon request. 
 
 Detroit Institute of Arts
Thursday, July 19th – Bus departs at 12:15(please arrive at noon for check-in) and returns approximately 3:45pm.
Check out the Baseball Exhibit at the DIA, it’s the 50th Anniversary of the World Series Win! Enjoy an Art Demonstration, then a 2:30 cookie & coffee stop. Sign up by June 21st. Cost is Absolutely FREE. 

Pierogi Fest and The Fisher Building Tour
Saturday, August 11th. Bus Leaves at 12:00 and returns around 4:30. 
We will begin our day at the Sweetest Heart of Mary Pierogi Festival. We’ll have lunch and take in some entertainment, then move on to the Beautiful Fisher Building for a tour at 3. 
Cost is $9 for Members, $14 for Non-Members. As always food and drink are on your own.
 
Detroit Tigers Game

Diamond Jacks Detroit River Sightseeing Tour and Dinner
Tuesday, August 21st, Bus departs at 12pm. 
Detroit is changing for the better! Enjoy this 2 hour tour on the Detroit River and a nice meal at Classic Family Grill to follow! Cost of meal is on your own. Cost is $23 Members, $27 Non-members
 
Detroit Historical Museum
Friday, Sept. 14th.  Bus Leaves at 9:15
Take a walk down memory lane with iconic people, places and movements in the Allesee Gallery of Culture. Visits will also include their new temporary exhibitions Detroit 67: Perspectives and The Year of the Tiger: 1968. Join Jeremy Dimick for Curator Chats. Lunch is included and will be served at 11:30. Enjoy a fun night out with musical comedy and impressions! The Scintas have been selling out Andiamo for 20 years! Come see them live for their Holiday show and join the fun!

Stroke & High Blood Pressure Presentation
Tuesday, August 14 at 2pm
Have your questions answered & learn about stroke and high blood pressure with Kelley Joseph, RN, coordinator, from Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.  Maybe stroke & high blood pressure runs in your family, or someone close to you has had a stroke. You may want to know if you or a loved one is at risk.  Learn all this and more at this free event. Snacks, coffee & tea will be available. Register by August 10th 2018

Could you use some assistance with your new phone, tablet or laptop? Perhaps you just need to brush up on how to use your email or Facebook account. All Ages Music Ensembles
We are gathering information for people interested in joining a community music ensemble! Whether you played in high school and would love to pick it back up, or you’re learning an instrument and want more opportunities to play, fill out the form at http://bit.ly/fraserensemblesurvey and when we get enough to form an ensemble we will contact you!

Private Music Lessons – all ages
Students who are too young to join a class or anyone wanting to learn more about the instrument that they have been meaning to pick up can sign up for lessons! Teachers available for Guitar, Drums, Brass, Voice, Piano (up to intermediate), Trombone, Mandolin and Ukulele. Contact the Activity Center at 586.296.8483 or and let us know your instrument of choice and preferred times and we will match you up with an instructor! Price varies according to instrument and instructor.

Bridge Class
Ever wanted to know how to play Bridge, or want to improve your game? Bridge Instructor Chet will be holding classes to pass on this great game! Meetings will be on Wednesdays at 2 pm and cost $30 for a six week class. Class start date to be determined, a minimum of 6 interested persons are needed to start the class so sign up on the waitlist at the Senior office!

Grand-Bowl Day
Saturday, September 15th from 12-3 pm @ Fraser Star Lanes
Spend an afternoon with your “grand”! A lil’one-on-one time together is good for the soul! Program includes two games of bowling, shoes, pizza, drink and a special keepsake photo. Cost is $12 each resident, $15 each non-resident.
