The City of Fraser Department of Public Works will be flushing fire hydrants starting from the north of city and working their way south. It will be between 7:00am – 3:00pm and will take approximately a month to complete.
Please be advised that flushing may cause low water pressure and some discoloration of water. This does not represent a health hazard. However, customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water run the cold water in all your faucets for approximately 5-10 minutes.
The City of Fraser Public Works regrets any temporary inconvenience you may experience however, the flushing program is necessary to maintain a good water supply for both firefighting and domestic consumption. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
